The Umber Synthesis — Planets UMBER TRINITY

This page contains visual descriptions and image generation prompts for the three home planets of the Umber Synthesis. Prompts are tuned for Gemini in a painterly science fiction concept art style.

Home System: Umber Trinity

The Umber Trinity is a three-world system that reads as a progression from inhabited to industrial to desolate — each planet further from its star, colder, and more stripped of anything not in service of the Synthesis's calculating purposes.

Umber I
Resources 2 / Influence 1 — Original Homeworld
Umber I

The original homeworld, its biological past preserved in museum strata beneath a surface now given over entirely to research facilities and production complexes. The aesthetic is utilitarian to the point of abstraction — clean lines, exposed infrastructure, no ornamentation. A warm brown-grey under a pale sun. Museum exhibits of the original ecosystem are maintained underground, accessible only to researchers with demonstrated need.

Image Generation Prompt
Digital painting, science fiction concept art, stylized painterly aesthetic. A complete planet viewed from orbit, fully visible and centered in the middle of the canvas, surrounded by a uniform black background. Heavily developed world, warm brown-grey surface almost entirely covered by research and production infrastructure, with faint traces of older darker biological terrain visible beneath. Thin pale brown atmosphere at the limb. Warm muted lighting, slight industrial haze. Painterly brushwork, warm brown-grey and umber palette. No spacecraft, no UI, no text.
Umber II
Resources 1 / Influence 1 — Materials Processing Hub
Umber II

A mid-system world converted into the Synthesis's primary materials processing hub, staffed almost entirely by autonomous synthetic units. No biological life present in any meaningful quantity. Vast open-cast extraction sites dominate the surface. No one lives here in the conventional sense — the Synthesis does not consider this a deficiency.

Image Generation Prompt
Digital painting, science fiction concept art, stylized painterly aesthetic. A complete planet viewed from orbit, fully visible and centered in the middle of the canvas, surrounded by a uniform black background. Arid extraction world, surface raw red-brown rock with large open dark patches of surface excavation visible from altitude. No oceans, no vegetation, almost no cloud cover. Very thin dusty orange-brown atmosphere at the limb. Harsh flat lighting, painterly brushwork, red-brown and raw ochre palette. No spacecraft, no UI, no text.
Umber III
Resources 1 / Influence 2 — Deep-Space Research World
Umber III

The outermost and coldest world, sparse and dark, its surface dotted with the domes and long-range arrays of the Synthesis's deep-space research installations. Ice fields in the lowlands. A sky that runs from dark grey to near-black at the zenith. The silence is the loudest thing about it — and the Synthesis finds the silence productive.

Image Generation Prompt
Digital painting, science fiction concept art, stylized painterly aesthetic. A complete planet viewed from orbit, fully visible and centered in the middle of the canvas, surrounded by a uniform black background. Cold outer system world, surface pale grey-brown with low contrast, ice fields visible in the lowlands as faint white patches. Very sparse thin atmosphere, dark grey limb glow. Almost no color — cold grey-brown, pale ice white, near-black sky. Dim cold lighting, painterly brushwork, desaturated grey-brown and ice white palette. No spacecraft, no UI, no text.
